The club achieved Level 3 Good Sports Club accreditation in 2009. Good Sports is a Victorian State Government program for sporting clubs to look at how they handle the use of Alcohol within their club. An Alcohol Management Policy is in place at the club and available for viewing on or web site. This policy results in a greater level of alcohol management within our social functions where our children are also present. What the policy involves is not the removal of alcohol from the club, but management of alcohol around our children. For many reasons the Committee thinks that this is a necessary accreditation for our club to hold. It is designed to result in many more of our club families being attracted to our social events and activities around the club. For that reason if you support this move by the club please ensure you also support our social functions. We hope that this approach will attract families that may have previously not been attracted to these gatherings.
